The purpose of this site is to provide the reader with information about different legal subjects that may be of interest to the public.

Most of the material relates to issues of real estate, my principal practice area. You will find information about what to look for when buying or selling a property, depending on the type of property, such as a house, cooperative or condominium apartment. The site includes links to other sites, or city, state or federal agencies, that can be useful to the reader.

There is much raw information online and in books, but it may be too technical or intended for a national audience. The information in this site pertains mostly to  legal issues in New York, especially downstate New York. It is written to answer general questions that we address in our everyday practice.

This site will give you the information necessary to be prepared before you meet with real estate professionals, whether you’re buying or selling a property or getting ready to list a property for sale.

We also have information about inheritance, the benefit of estate planning and the value of having a will.

For those considering a business, you may find useful information on the steps to make before you buy or sell a business.
